INTRODUCTION:

RYLA is an event conducted in order to bring forth the leadership qualities of participants and motivate them to develop some important personal skills which would prove to be very important in their future. As conducted every year, this year’s RYLA would also be based on a particular theme i.e. ‘The 17 Millenium Sustainable Development Goals (MDSDGs) to transform our world’ by promoting the Sustainable Development amongst the students.

EVENT FORMAT:

The event would be conducted in 3 rounds a given below:

Round 1: Inventive Gallery

Round 2: Group Discussion

Round 3: Express to Victory

 

Task:

For the first round, the registered members are requested to submit  essay ( in 3 paragraphs or 1000 words) / Poster / Painting / Sketch / Digital Poster / Collage of Photographs / any other paper art on a half imperial (i.e. A3 size) sheet before the 22 Mar 2019 (Soft copy) and hard copy on the day of the event. All this work has to be presented in front of the jury member. You have to choose any one of the above-mentioned topics of 17 sustainable development goals (MDSDGs) and present your viewpoint on what wrong is happening pertaining to the topic that you choose. For the second round, all the participants would be grouped on the basis of the chosen topic in Round 1. There would be a group discussion on the chosen topic and the participants will have to put forth their viewpoints as to how do they propose to handle the current identified problems. Each group would be allotted 15-20 minutes to prepare on the topic and formulate their points. After that, the discussion will start and go on for a total time of 15 minutes. Participants can use any of the (English, Hindi, Marathi) allowed languages.

For the final round, each of the qualified participants would be allotted 1 or 2 topics out of the 17 aforementioned and would be asked to answer questions raised by the panel of judges. Each participant would carry out this exercise for a total of 5 – 10 minutes. The participants are expected to be well versed and be prepared for varied range of questions for this round. Participants can use any of the (English, Hindi, Marathi) allowed languages.

 

PARTICIPATION FEE:

NIL. For this event, participants aren’t expected to pay any amount of entry fees. Their enthusiasm and active participation are expected.

 

 

SCHEDULE:

 

Entire event would be conducted on the first day of NIRMITEE (i.e. 26th of March).

 

9:00 am to 9:30 am: Inauguration

9:30 am to 10:00 am: Display of the creative works

10:00 am to 11:30 am: Round 1

11:30 am to 12:00 am: Tea break

12:00 pm to 1:30 pm: Round 2

1:30 pm to 2:30 pm: Lunch break

2:30 pm to 4:00 pm: Round 3

4:00 pm to 4:30 pm: Declaration of results

 

 

RULES:

Participants must report to the venue at 8:30 am sharp on the 26th of March 2019. Anyone reporting late without prior permission would be disqualified. No entry will be accepted once the first round begins. Participants qualifying the first round would be eligible to participate in the second round and the same conditions would be applicable for the next rounds.
